For me, painting is a visual and physical connection to our environment. It is a means of reacting to the stimuli from the world around us and creating something personal and tangible in response.

I have always loved those special moments when you feel both immersed in and distinctly integral to the world around you. Painting is a way of trying to create an enduring perception of the stirring impressions that come from such experiences.

For the last several years I have focused on acrylic painting, particularly landscapes, although I have always sought outlets for creativity. I have worked as a graphic designer for over two decades but love both the freedom of creating simply for oneself and the physicality of applying paint to canvas and paper. It's my hope that a spirit of freedom and engagement is evident in the pieces I create.
